Manufacturing Engineer

Department Engineering

Reporting to: Engineering Director

Skills & Qualifications

Have a relevant engineering qualification or have equivalent in relevant experience. Have good all-round IT skills including excel and word. Have manufacturing experience and an understanding of composite material processing. Have broad industry based knowledge. Must be a good communicator.

Technical Responsibilities

Undertake manufacturing engineering support tasks as defined by the Engineering Director or their nominated deputy. In conjunction with New Product Introduction (NPI) team provide manufacturing information sheets in accordance with company standards that detail the production process. Develop the most cost effective and efficient production solutions that satisfy design to cost and design for manufacture best practice. Develop those processes to a production steady state standard that meets the requirement specification and design intent. Support design and customer reviews. Attend NPI and contract reviews as required. Provide support for production and Quality Assurance in resolving production problems and non- conformances.

Functional Responsibilities

Ensuring all activities are carried out to Company procedures or overriding customer requirements. Ensure project conformity to requirements. Ensure tasks are complete as directed to schedule and within defined budgets.

Other task in support of company strategy as directed by the Engineering Director.

Location

Your normal place of work will be initially the Company's premises at Crewkerne but subject to receiving reasonable notice, you may be required to re-locate to such alternative Company premises and customer premises in the UK and aboard as the Company may from time to time require.
