TODS TAKE ON MORE STAFF TO MEET INTERNATIONAL DEMAND

Structural composite product engineers, Tods Aerospace Limited, are bucking recessionary trends by taking on twenty extra specialist production workers at their Crewkerne manufacturing facilities. At a time when many engineering companies are feeling the affects of the economic slow down, Tods Aerospace are flying high with a diverse order book ranging from vital components for the US Presidential helicopter fleet to seating structures and aircraft flooring for some of the latest passenger aircraft.

Operating over two manufacturing sites the company has concentrated its business ethos on high quality training and investment into the very latest production techniques, which allows it to be fully accredited and recognised within the international aerospace fraternity. The Company has recently been granted the ‘industry’s’ prestigious SC21 Bronze Award status, and is committed to achieving full Gold Award status by 2010.

Reflecting on the company’s recent high-profile showing at the Farnborough International Air Show, Simon Finch, CEO Tods Aerospace Limited says:

“There is a real buzz around the company as we work face to face with some of the big names in the industry. Typically we are working on a number of helicopter programmes in partnership with AgustaWestland, and are supplying structural and interior fixtures for Boeing and Airbus aircraft. Tods are now really making capital from our investment, development and design expertise for the manufacture of lightweight high integrity products, which is one of the top criteria within the aerospace industry.”
