TODS EARN THEIR STARS AND STRIPES FROM THE US“You have demonstrated a commitment to excellence” is the citation given to Crewkerne-based W & J Tod Limited (TODS), at the prestigious ‘Suppliers Excellence Award’ presentations at Raytheon Integrated Defense Systems, Headquarters in Massachusetts, USA. The 4-Star Award, a formal recognition of TODS involvement in the design and build of Bow Sonar Domes for the US Navy DDG-1000 Zummwalt Destroyer programme, was received by Simon Finch, CEO, TODS. On handing over the Suppliers Excellence Award to his Tods Defence team, based at Portland, Dorset, Simon Finch said: “The Raytheon Integrated Defense Systems accolade once again highlights the positive impact that the Company is achieving in the international supply chain. TODS expertise in the design, development and construction of highly advanced composite structures for the naval defence industry is second to none, and this is once again acknowledged in respect of the most formidable warship ever to be commissioned by the US Navy. We are continuing a roll-out programme of investment in R&D, design and production facilities and personnel at Portland, to accomplish our commitment to a diverse order book to naval contracts across the world. |
