TODS APPOINT QUALITY DIRECTORComposite materials engineering specialists Tods, who design and build structures for both the aerospace and naval marine industries, have announced the senior boardroom appointment of Martyn Perks as Quality Director. Martyn, who is an Incorporated Engineer, BSc (Mathematics and Technology) and a member of the Institute of Quality Assurance, joins Somerset-based Tods from helicopter manufacturer AgustaWestland. From a background of 30 years aerospace engineering experience, starting as a Craft Apprentice through to Apache Quality Control manager, and frontline Supply Chain Management. At Tods, Martyn will be tasked with consolidating on-going QA programmes to meet international aerospace AS 9100 standards, and co-ordinating quality control procedures for Tods Defence naval acoustic structures at Portland. Martyn Perks, aged 48, takes up his appointment as of November 2009. |
