TODS WIN ANOTHER ORDER FROM INDIAN NAVYAcoustic materials specialists at TODS DEFENCE have won a fifth consecutive order from the Indian Navy, on this occasion for a series of Bow Mounted Sonar Domes for a new fleet of four ASW Corvettes for Project 28. The Sonar Domes will be supplied over the next four years to one of the Indian Navy’s shipbuilders, GRSE in Kolkatta. TODS have previously supplied Bow Sonar Domes for Type 15, 16, 16a and Type 17 vessels for both GRSE and MDL. Steve Burton, Director of TODS DEFENCE said: “In spite of tough international competition, we believe the securing of this latest order, for a new generation of Indian Navy vessels, is down to our specialist technical leadership in the engineering of transmission loss polyurethanes for warship applications, which are being specified by a number of navies around the world.” |
