Gina Ratchford a Procurement Assistant and Sarah Armstrong a Test Technician, from Crewkerne-based Tods Aerospace Limited decided to take the plunge to participate in the fundraising project, with them taking to the sky for a sponsored parachute jump from nearby Dunkerswell Airfield.

Although the schedule did not allow them skydive on the same day, Gina and Sarah managed to raise over £1,500 in sponsorship for their company-led fundraising project.

Gina (pictured) said with friendly assurance from the instructor she did not feel frightened and was totally exhilarated by the experience on a beautiful sunny day.

On behalf of Tods Aerospace, CEO Simon Finch said: “We are all so proud of Gina and Sarah for getting involved and raising an amazing amount of money in the process. Jumping out of an aircraft at 12,000 feet will give them both a new perspective on the aerospace world”.
