Since early 1998, Tods have manufactured over 3,000 structural floor pallets in pre-preg. thermoset skins onto nomex honeycomb core for use under premium class seating modules in Boeing 747's for several major international airlines. These pallets were supplied fully bonded, inserted and CNC machined.

In 2002, Tods pioneered and developed the use of thermoplastic materials for aircraft interior structural sandwich panel floor sections, with over 12,000 manufactured to date. These solutions include where required composite structural beams moulded into the core of the flooring sections. Materials were certified and approved for use by Boeing and Airbus, and are currently flying in B747, B767, B777, A330 and A340 aircraft for 7 major international airlines. Floor sections were subjected to stringent dynamic 16G and 9G testing to verify their ability to remain intact during extreme operating conditions.

These floor sections were delivered fully CNC machined, inserted, bonded and final assembled, ready for immediate incorporation into the seat structure.

All materials are prepared and formed in 'clean room' conditions, cured in computer controlled flat daylight presses, and machined on in-house 5-axis CNC machines, to ensure total material integrity.
